Homeschool Social Study Hall

Sometimes when children are homeschooled, parents feel they lack the social part of the school environment. That is where we step up to the plate! 

Our first goal is to be a social support for your child, and as a second runner up, we are an academic support for primary educator...aka...YOU! 

Each day when you drop off your child you will let the teacher know what your child is to be working on for the day. Parents will be responsible each day to mark the curriculum with a start and stop point. The teacher will then do their best to help your child complete your requested work as needed during group hours. If a child completes the requested work, they will be able to pick a free choice activity or participate the group activity! 

The teacher will offer breaks as needed! As we all know, some days are better than others! Some days your child may get everything plus more done, and somedays they may get one page done. With this in mind, communication is key to your child's success!  

Enrollment Expectations for Families: 

1. Understand that the purpose of the group is to be a social setting for your child!
2. Provide curriculum daily, and mark where you would like your child to start and stop each day.
3. Understand that the teacher is there to support what you have chosen for your child. You are your child's educator. 
4. Keep in constant communication with your child's teacher!
